Funeral service for Robert Ross, 58, of Opelika, AL, will be at 12:00 noon., Wednesday. October 11, 2023, at Harris Funeral Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801, Elder James Q. Smith, Sr. will officiate.
Mr. Ross, who passed away Tuesday, October 3,2023 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama was born March 11, 1965, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. β 6:00 p.m.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory: five children, Angelica Gardner, Shaquille Gardner, Angelique Allen, Omarion Evans and Shamiya Evans all of Opelika, AL; father, Willie (Mary) Ross of Opelika, AL; four grandchildren, Zaelyn Trimble, Kade Williams, Sarya Gardner and Zhavia Gardner; four brothers, Willie Ross Jr., Kevin Ross both of Opelika, AL, Curtis (Ericka) Ross of Auburn, AL, and Robert (Mary) Harris of Salem, AL; seven sisters, Nicole Jennings of Killeen, TX, Tracy (Joe) Dunn, Barbara Harris, Ethel Harris, Hattie (Victor) Alvis, Dorothy Mckinnon all of Opelika, AL, and Patricia Mosley of Montgomery, AL; three uncles, Jessie Ross, Robert L. Ross and Jack Ross all of Opelika, AL; three aunts, Linda Whitlow, Myrtis (Larry) Wilson and Jackie (Melvin) Dowdell all of Opelika, AL; three cousins like a brother, Tim Truitt, Cedric Truitt and Charlie Boyd; childhood friend, Thelma Harris; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
