Obituary For Ronald Oliver
Funeral service for Ronald Oliver, 73, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel, Brother Willie Whack will officiate.
Mr. Oliver, who passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026 at the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama, was born December 22, 1952, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Debra Bedell Oliver of Opelika, AL; three children, Kimberly Peters (Eric) Golden of McCalla, AL, Ronald “Theo” Oliver of Baton Rouge, LA and Corey (Dione) Bedell of San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren, Tevin Golden of California, MD, Jordan Golden of McCalla, AL, Khori Bedell of San Antonio, TX, Alexandria Augustine of Los Angeles, LA, Antonio Thomas of Middleton, WI, Connor Oliver of Middleton, WI and Magan Oliver of Houston, TX; two great-grandchildren, Lyric Golden and Logan Golden; two brothers-in-law, Eugene Clay and Clarence Rucker both of Louisville, KY; five sisters-in-law, Mary Coleman of Stanton Island, NY, Annie Bedell, Shirley Drake both of Opelika, AL, Betty (John) Williams and Nancy Jackson both of Auburn, AL; devoted nephew, Rickey Bedell of Opelika, AL; devoted friend, Theodore “Marso” (Carolyn) Wilson of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family of the late Mr. Ronald “Ron” Oliver acknowledges with grateful appreciation all acts of kindness, prayers, cards, telephone calls, flowers, and words of comfort extended to us during our time of bereavement. May God bless each of you.

Condolences to the Oliver family. Ron was like a son to my mom, Nellie Wilson and another brother to her boys, Eric,Marso, and Anlewis Wilson. As I got to know him, I saw what made Ron family. Hoping for comfort to Deborah and family from Jehovah, the God of All comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4
