Graveside service for Roy Floyd, 90, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2022, at Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801, Brother John Cook will officiate.

Mr. Floyd, who passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Bethany House in Auburn, AL, was born April 6, 1932 in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required).

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Luevenia Floyd of Opelika, AL, one son, Tommy James Nelms of Tuskegee, AL; two grandchildren, Tiffany M. Ambus and Tommy L. Ambus both of Opelika, AL; four great-grandchildren, Garrien Ambus, Verleanriya Ambus, Lilly Ambus and Cornell Holt; three sisters-in-law, Verleane Taylor (Aaron) Almond of Opelika, AL, Burnett Adams of New York and Gertrude Payne of Abilene, TX; two brothers-in-law, Tommy (Alice) Taylor of Tuskegee, AL and John Henry (Sharon) Lockhart of Auburn, AL; two special friends, Lester Holstick and Jacqueline Ambus both of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
