Funeral service for Ruth Love, 61, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Pleasant Hill A.M.E. Church Cemetery, 1147 Lee Road 140, Salem, AL, 36874, Elder Calvin Patrick will officiate.

Mrs. Love, who passed away Friday, March 27, 2026 at her home in Opelika, Alabama, was born July 12, 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Public viewing will be Monday, April 6, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Preston Love; daughter, Tiffany Catney of Opelika, AL; three grandchildren, Jermarcus Kirk of Ft. Sill, OK, Jamarion Kirk and JaMarionna Kirk both of Opelika, AL; three goddaughters, Laquitta Boyd, Mary Ann Strickland and Trinity Boyd all of Opelika, AL; one godson, Laquinton Boyd of Opelika, AL; one aunt, Lillie Bailey of Auburn, AL; cousin as a sister, Barbara Ann (Douglas) Jordan of Opelika, AL; cousin as a brother, Preston Mitchell of Opelika, AL; two brothers-in-law, Lindell (Georgia) Love and Mark Love (Alisa) both of Opelika, AL; two sisters-in-law, Mary Bell Dantzler of Cleveland, OH and Poppy Love of Columbus, GA; two devoted cousins, Angie Jenkins and Demetria Jenkins both of Opelika, AL; six nieces, LaQuitta Love, LaQuaye (Patrick) Johnson, Whitney (Timothy) Smith, Laraveen Mitchell, Melanie White and Tamala Rowell; five nephews, Louis Allen Dantzler, Louis Andre Dantzler, Jarquaizemen Ashmore, Airateen Ashmore and Natrasken Love; three devoted friends, Patricia Fergerson of Opelika, AL ,Theresa Jones of Auburn, AL and Annette Aikens of Opelika, AL; host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
