Obituary For Sarah “Queen Sarah” Drake-Goodman
Funeral service for Sarah Drake-Goodman, 91, of Camp Hill, Alabama, will at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2024, at New Canaan Baptist Church, 26403 Veteran Memorial Parkway, Camp Hill, Alabama 36850 with interment in the church cemetery, Reverend Justin Freeman will officiate.
Mrs. Goodman, who passed away Monday, September 9, 2024 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born August 7, 1933, in Chambers County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, September 13, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
She leaves to cherish her memory: four children, Carol Vasquez-Hinton of Madison, AL, Carlos Drake of Alexander City, AL, Tyron Drake of Huntsville, AL and Gail (Tony) Pennyamon, Lanett, AL; three brothers, Lister (Gwen) Holloway of Somerset, NJ, Clinnon Holloway of Camp Hill, AL and Frazier Holloway of Brooklyn, NY; sisters-in-law, Geneva Holloway of Lanett, AL and Louise Drake of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Demetrus, Shan, Shannon, Sanchez, Landria, Tiffany, Courtney, Kalem, Lakisha, and Dantego; nineteen great-grands; one great-great grandchild; bonus daughters, Bobbie Jean Core, Belinda Taylor, Alma Allen, Teila Drake, Cathy Spruiell, Frances Holley, Sandra Holloway, Gwendolyn Drake, Donna Leslie, Carolyn Pinchon and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
