Brother Deacon Henry and Cynthia, there is no words I can say to relieve your heavy hearts. I never met Brother Robert in person but the memories you shared of him tell me that he was an upstanding man who made great contributions to our community. Any man that volunteered that many years of military service to his Country, shows us what it means to be a real Patriot (action not words). I salute you Brother Robert , Godspeed! Deacon Henry, Cynthia and extended family, I will give you a though that I will never forget that Brother Hank shared with me doing my time of grief. "The family that Prays together, stays together"

To the Collins Family, Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of SGM Robert Collins. Today, I stopped by the funeral home to pay my respects and say goodbye to a dear friend, fellow Soldier, and brother. SGM Collins was a remarkable man whose life touched many. He was not only a talented musician, but also a dedicated Soldier who served with honor and distinction. I was especially honored that he participated in my retirement ceremony, a memory I will always cherish. There is one conversation with Robert that has stayed with me throughout the years. On the day he retired, he told me, "Chief, I'm going home to raise my dogs and take care of my mama." Those simple words spoke volumes about the kind of man he was. They reflected his love, humility, loyalty, and devotion to family. Every time I think of him, I remember that statement and smile. Robert was a great Soldier, a great friend, and above all, a great man. His presence made a difference in the lives of those who knew him, and his memory will continue to live on in our hearts. While our hearts are heavy with loss, we can find comfort in knowing that he has been called home to be with the Lord. May God grant your family peace, strength, and comfort in the days ahead. Rest easy, my friend. Your duty is done, your watch is complete, and your legacy remains. With deepest sympathy and respect, Chief Lee Franklin, CW5 (Ret.) Friend and Brother-in-Arms May SGM Collins rest in eternal peace. Soldiers like him leave footprints that time cannot erase. God bless you and the Collins family. πŸ™πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Sergeant Major (Retired) Robert Collins. I personally never forget our chance meeting when I was in basic training at Fort Jackson. Even though he wasn't my Drill Sergeant, word got back to him that I knew of him. When he paged me to the command station and asked that sharp question, "Who yo daddy?", the moment I told him, he looked at me and said, "Yeah, you know me then." It is a memory I will always cherish, showcasing exactly who he wasβ€”a commander of respect who never forgot his roots or his people. Our thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt condolences are with the Collins family during this incredibly difficult time. May you find comfort in your beautiful memories and strength in the proud legacy of service and love he leaves behind.

Heartfelt Condolences from the Walden Family in Jacksonville Fl. From one Sergeant Major to another Sergeant Major.. He will be surely missed. We spent countless times together in the Military, at War, and our times of camaraderie beyond the Military (hunting, fishing, laughing, visiting his Church, and listening to his guitar picking. He taught me a lot about myself and how to accept him as a dear friend.
