Funeral service for Shirley Williams, 77, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m. (EST), Saturday, May 10, 2025, at New Dimension Worship Center, 5610 US Highway 29, Valley, AL, 36863, with interment in Pine Hill Cemetery, 22nd Street SW, Lanett, AL, 36863, Bishop Donald Lancaster will officiate.

Mrs. Williams, who passed away Friday, May 2, 2025 at the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama was born October 28, 1947, in Chambers County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, May 9, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (EST)

Mrs. Williams will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: two children, Robert Williams, Jr. and Courtney Williams both of Opelika, AL; eight grandchildren, Broderick Brown, Quenteria Brown, Antinorio Brown, Kimberly Brown, Idresse Williams, Ci’Yona Williams, Devin Tramell and D’Lylah Tramell; one sister, Darlena Barnes of Lanett, AL; one aunt, Joyce Askew, West Point, GA; one uncle, Willie Wright of Chicago, IL; four sisters-in-law, Shirley Lyons, Emma Holloway, Shirley Barnes and Leah Barnes all of Lanett, AL; devoted friend, Pearlie Mae Carr of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
