Funeral service for Shirley Jackson, 81, of Auburn, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 1535 West Farmville Road, Auburn, AL, 36830, Brother Jimmy Jackson will officiate.
Mrs. Jackson, who passed away Monday, November 20, 2023 at Lafayette Extended Care in Lafayette, Alabama, was born June 16, 1942, in Lee County, Alabama.
She leaves to cherish her memory: five children, Minister Elaine Jackson of Smiths Station, AL, Van (MaryAnn) Jackson of Valley, AL, Jimmy Jackson (Gwen James) of Lafayette, AL, Georgia Richardson of Auburn, AL and Michael Jackson of Syracuse, NY; eight grandchildren, Ja’Lecia Richardson, Lorenzo Jackson, Van Carlos Jackson, Tobias Farley, Kaygrea Randolph, Jazmin Jackson, Jamarion Tolbert and Jakell Jackson; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Georgia Echols of Auburn, AL; one brother, Tommy Echols of Syracuse, NY; one aunt; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

I remember working third shift and cousin Shirley would call me to take her some where every morning when she was at the Ease house...one morning as soon as I dropped her off she called me getting ready for the next day...I said cousin Shirley I'm going to bed..and she said OK thanks and called me right back around 2 hours later..I just laughed...Shirley was really a good person...May God get the Glory .get your rest cousin.
