Obituary For Ulysses "Dude" Guice, Jr.
Funeral service for Ulysses Guice, 83, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Bell Missionary Baptist Church, 348 Foster Street, Auburn, AL 36830 with interment in Mt. Pelia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 377 Lee Road 78, Camp Hill, AL, 36850, Reverend Mark X. Lee will officiate.
Mr. Guice, who passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at Columbus Regional Rehabilitation Center in Columbus, Georgia, was born October 3, 1942, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Monday, December 1, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Family hour will be from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Mr. Guice will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Gertude Hill Guice of Opelika, AL; one daughter, Jaqualine (Stanley) Dawson; two sons, Tyrone (Nisa) Guice and Dwayne (Consuela) Guice; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth Guice Christian, Jaquel Dawson, Thomas (Brenda) Dawson, Skye Guice, Devin Guice, Christian Guice, Trinity Guice, Dwayne Guice, Jr. and Ethan Guice; five great-grandchildren, Deandra (Andrew) Heizer, Kourtnie Guice, Remaea Christian, Jaylen Christin and Naomi Davis; three sisters, Mary Lois Wood of Notasulga, AL, Mary Feagin of Richmond, VA and Annie Lois Royal (Walter) of Athens, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
