Funeral service for William Hatchett, 68, of Jonesboro, GA, will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, October 25, 2025, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 4793 County Road 89 S, Camp Hill, AL 36850 with interment in the church cemetery, Reverend Henry Cooper, Pastor, Reverend Edward Milner, Eulogist.
Mr. Hatchett, who passed away Monday, October 20, 2025 at The Palms at Lake Spivey in Jonesboro, Georgia, was born August 22, 1957, in Mayfield, Kentucky.
Public viewing will be Friday, October 24, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Hatchett will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a son, Adam Hatchett of Camp Hill, AL; mother, Dr. Helen Hatchett of Auora, IL; two sisters, Sharon Hatchett and Deborah Hatchett both of Aurora, IL; one brother, Dr. R. Lawrence Hatchett of Marion, IL; one nephew, Ryan Hatchett of Marion, IL; a bonus daughter, Kandyce (Frank) Armstrong; a bonus granddaughter, Kadance Armstrong; devoted friends, John (Lisa) Rumsey, Wade (Alicia) Miles, Kelley (Eman) Navaja, Astria Benton, Denise Crisp and Sandy (Mark) Harvill; special families, the Spratling, Jackson and Caldwell families; a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Words can't express the influence you made in my life. Not only were you my coworker..you were my mentor, my friend, my confidant, MY BIG BROTHER. I thank you for the words of encouragement you always gave me. Life will never be the same. You have raised an amazing young man...one that will continue to display you..your values and morals.This isn't goodbye...it's until we meet again.Love you Hatch!
