Obituary For Willie B. Dowdell
Funeral service for Willie Dowdell, 83, of Decatur, Georgia, formerly a native of Lee County, Alabama, will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 1535 West Farmville Road, Auburn, AL, 36830 with interment in the church cemetery, Reverend Dion Gilbert, Pastor, Reverend Jerry Dowdell will officiate.
Mr. Dowdell, who passed away Friday, February 13, 2026 at Emory Hillandale Hospital in Lithonia, Georgia, was born August 25, 1942, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, February 27, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Dowdell will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
