Obituary For Willie Earl "Will" Knight, Sr.

Funeral service for Willie Knight Sr., 95, of Wetumpka, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, September 20, 2025, at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 101 Gantt Road, Deatsville, AL, 36022, Reverend Rodney Mitchell will officiate.

Mr. Knight, who passed away Friday, September 12, 2025 at his home in Wetumpka, Alabama, was born August 3, 1930, in Elmore County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, September 19, 2025, at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Mr. Knight will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

He leaves to cherish his memory: seven children, Donald Knight of Wetumpka, AL, Kenneth Knight, Calvin Knight both of Montgomery, AL, Craig Knight of Wetumpka, AL, Allen Knight (Joslyn Peters) of Auburn, AL, Phillip (Terry) Knight of Montgomery, AL and Donald (Angela) Thomas of Montgomery, AL; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Arnold Ruth Dunn of Gadsden, AL; two daughters-in-law, Charmine Knight of Montgomery, AL and Lois Knight of Anchorage, Alaska; mother of his children, Dorothy Knight of Montgomery, AL; two special nieces, Ruby Williams of Gadsden, AL and Eula Myree of Montgomery, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
