Graveside service for Willie Tucker, 65, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Westview Cemetery, 700 Westview Drive, Auburn, AL 36830, Elder Jerry Smith will officiate.
Mr. Tucker, who passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at his home in Opelika, Alabama, was born May 31, 1958 in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Monday, June 26, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
“Doon Boy”, as he was affectionately known, enjoyed fishing, cooking, being an outdoorsman, listening to a variety of music and sharing the word of God. He was an avid Auburn football fan, “War Eagle” and took pride in feeding all of the football players.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory: one daughter, Latasha Tucker (Avante Wallace) of Lafayette, AL; one son, Derrick (Kizzy) Freeman of Sylacauga, AL; eight grandchildren; Jinaya Freeman, Jamyra Freeman, Jakell Freeman, Jamell Freeman all of Montgomery, AL, Tyquavion Freeman, Zy’Kayla Tucker, Nevaeh Tucker and Trinity Tucker all of Opelika, AL; one sister, Carolyn (Byron) Nelms of Auburn, AL; three brothers, Gavin Tucker, Maurice (Angel) Tucker both of Opelika, AL and Edward Tucker of Auburn, AL; three aunts, Bessie Virella, Ruby Drake and Jeanette Welch all of Opelika, AL; special nephew, Ret. Captain Keithner (Tiffani) Tucker of Madison, AL; mother-in-law, Cassie Pearl Singleton of Opelika, AL; three sisters-in-law, Minister Darneal Marble of Muskegon, MI, Lurlean Frazier and Darlean Singleton both of Opelika, AL; two brothers-in-law, Moses (Emma) Singleton and Deacon Joe H. Singleton both of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
