Obituary For Willie Lewis “By Ba” Baker
Funeral service for Willie Baker, 64, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2024, at Shiloh A.M.E. Zion Church, 4970 County Road 24, Auburn, AL, 36830, Reverend Hubert Brown, Pastor, Reverend Dr. Fredna Grimmett, Eulogist.
Mr. Baker, who passed away Friday, November 8, 2024 at the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama, was born June 13, 1960, in Macon County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Baker will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
He leaves to cherish his memory: five sisters, Lucille Baker Stinson, Cathy Wright, Cynthia Bass all of Auburn, AL, Judith (John) Myhand and Dorothy Lewis both of Opelika, AL; two brothers, McGarrett Baker of Auburn, AL and Dr. Roderick (Janiece) Perry of Dayton, OH; six aunts, Clara Bledsoe, Gracie Baker, Diane (Eddie) Gauntt all of Montgomery, AL, Callie Baker of Opelika, AL, Earnestine Levett of Auburn, AL and Sallie Whittaker of Tuskegee, AL; one uncle, Eddie Baker of Auburn, AL; stepmother, Annie Perry of Auburn, AL; special friend, Christine Reed of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
