Obituary For Willie "PC" Meredith

Funeral service for Willie Meredith, 64, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2023 at The City Church, 2900 Waverly Parkway, Opelika, AL 36801 with interment in Garden Hill Cemetery, 1218 Frederick Road, Opelika, AL 36801, Reverend Michael Strickland will officiate.

Mr. Meredith, who passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born September 16, 1958 in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, January 20, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required).

Mr. Meredith will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Peggy Meredith of Opelika, AL; fifteen children, April Jones, Katelyn Harris of Beauregard, AL, Dominique Wright, Marquetta Bulger, Willie Meredith, Jr., Antron Maddox, Joshua Wilson, Jalen Carlisle, Marquez Whitfield, Lexzoria Gay all of Opelika, AL, Kayla Moss of Union City, GA, Tashina Gayden of Canton, GA, Naketa Maddox, Kelsee Wilson both of Auburn, AL of Auburn, AL and Zoey Dowdell of Bloomington, MN; two brothers, Eddie B. Meredith and Curtis (Jennifer) Dowdell both of Opelika, AL; two special nephews, Michael Wynn of Opelika, AL and Rodney (Felina) Meredith of Valley, AL; a special friend, Moses Ingram of Opelika, AL; host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
