Funeral service for Yolanda Canada, 53, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Southside Church of Christ, 405 Carver Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801 with interment in Rosemere Cemetery, South Long Street, Opelika, AL, 36801, Brother Willie Whack will officiate.
Ms. Canada, who passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025 at her home in Opelika, Alabama, was born August 25, 1971 in Dallas County, Texas.
Public viewing will be Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Ms. Canada will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory: daughter, Crystal (Bernard) Rudd Sanford of Opelika, AL; devoted companion, Clarence James of Opelika, AL; stepdaughter, Andrea Gunnings of Opelika, AL; three grandchildren, Caytlynn Martin, Jorie Sanford and BJ Sanford all of Opelika, AL; two step-grandchildren, Jakera Davis and Josiah Freeman both of Opelika, AL; father, W.C. Rudd of Dallas, TX; bonus mother, Mary (Melvin) Driver of Opelika, AL; three sisters, Pamela Bradford of Dallas, TX, Kimberly (Charles) Benford of Opelika, AL and Arnicia Driver of Birmingham, AL; two aunts, Lynda (Roy) Morris and Daisy Tidwell both of Opelika, AL; two uncles, John Tidwell and Eddie Tidwell both of Opelika, AL; special sister-in-law, Shawounder (Tony) Samuel of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the Southside Church of Christ Family.
