To: Gwen,(Requayah) My dearest friend and sister: I am in Sympathy with your family. Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your beloved mother. I was thinking of what a special blessing to have had your sweet mother until she reached 97! That reminds us of the fact,it matters not how long one may live, death is an enemy whenever it comes. May you find first, comfort in the knowledge that Jesus conquered death and to know Mom is just sleeping now, and secondly,hope in the promise found in Revelation 21:3-5.We can and will see our loved ones again and be able to enjoy life forever in God's new world without sickness and death! Though you mourn your great loss now, we dont sorrow as those who have no hope.(1Thessslonians 4:13-16) May you all look forward to that day as Jesus promised,"Your mother will rise!";(John 11:23)("there will be a Ressurection!"(John 5:28,29) So,my love, in the days and weeks to come you will experience the entire gambit of human emotions as you confront your own mortality. Be patient with yourself and the family and allow yourself and others time and space to grieve as you reflect on the beautiful life you enjoyed and the glorious future that awaits you! "Truly I tell you today, you will be with her in the paradise!"(Luke 23:43) May we all do our utmost now so that we can welcome her back!
