Rose M. Henderson planted 5 trees in memory of John Cooper . - January 29, 2024
I have known Mr. John Quincy Cooper for a minimum of 50 years. He was a kind spirited gentleman who shared and cared for all he made contact with without being judgmental. He loved playing his piano learning new notes and scales, in addition to his love of plants and gardening and then sharing his labor of love with his friends and neighbors. He will be truly missed. As always with love (Sharon Diane -Lady Di- Miller
You will be missed, Mr. Cooper! Your yard which you tended so carefully was an oasis in the city. It's hard to imagine our street and neighborhood without you.
Blessings, The Edgecomb Family
Mr.Cooper was a peaceful spirit who cared about people. He adopted me as a brother forty years ago. He practiced the use of ethics, morals and principles. He served this country in the armed force and then graduated from Morehouse college. He was a teacher and talk and public schools for over 30 years. As founder of the Young Adult Guidance Center and in the early development, I would some time get discouraged. It was Mr Cooper who was there to encourage me to continue. He would always say Atlanta needs a residential program for homeless young men and it will be you to make it a reality. I thank God for allowing Mr Cooper to be in my life. Marion L.Simpson
