We will always remember your warm sweet smile. Your smile lit up the room and entered our hearts.

Today, I remember my Uncle's beloved wife, Oease. My Aunt O.E. !! She had a smile that could stretch from ear to ear — so warm and welcoming that it would instantly put you at ease.( always covering her mouth to avoid showing it to most people) Aunt Oease was one of the kindest, most giving souls I've ever known, always filled with quiet love and gentleness. She was a natural nurturing woman. Always taking care of others and never letting anyone go without help. Her unique laugh always made me smile even now thinking back on it I sit hear and smile as I know she's smiling down upon us. Some of my favorite memories are of visiting her home, sitting with her in the sunroom , I was about 8 or 9 years old. We would watch the cars pass by outside, often in silence, and yet those moments felt full, peaceful, and comforting.

I remember my Aunt Oease was shy and laid back, never needing to say much to make you feel loved. After my uncle passed away, I regret not staying in closer touch with her. It pains me that circumstances and distance. I stopped asking about her, and I'll never stop wishing I had fought harder to stay connected.

But today, I find peace knowing that Aunt Oease is resting in a better place. Her kindness, her smile, and the simple, beautiful moments we shared will live in my heart forever. -Ebony Bagwell
