On Behalf of the National Dental Hygienists' Association (NDHA) we are heartbroken and shocked at the passing of this pioneer /most senior member of NDHA. Gussie held numerous leadership positions within NDHA. Being the original African American Registered Dental Hygienists organization founded 1932 /re-organized in 1962 Gussie remained committed for over 60 years to NDHA. Our prayers to the Family and her Church Family. We honor the fine Christian standards she exemplified and the professionalism she shared within the NDHA.
