Charlie Parnell McKinnon
Charlie Parnell McKinnon was born to the late Charlie C. McKinnon and Icey Pearl Brooks McKinnon on February 17, 1974, in Dale County, Alabama. He Graduated from Dale County High School in Midland City, AL.
He received Christ in his heart at an early age and was united with Wings of Deliverance Community Church under the leadership of Pastor James E. Bowers. He was united in marriage to LaShonda Whitt in 2005. He was employed with Twitchell of Dothan until he became disabled.
He departed this life on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL, leaving his family with a deep sense of loss. He was preceded in death by his father Charlie C. McKinnon; his uncles Tommy Brooks and Willie Brooks; his niece Catrell Ford; his grandparents Isaac and Ethel Brooks and Wyatt and Lucinda Miller.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: a loving and devoted Mother, Icey Pearl McKinnon of Midland City, AL; his children, Travale Reynolds of Atlanta, GA, Samoreeeah Reynolds, Albany, GA, Synia McKinnon, Parnell McKinnon, and Shanell McKinnon all of Atlanta, GA; a special niece, Aprella Ford, Midland City, AL; two brothers, Eric (Denise) McKinnon, Dothan, AL and Calvin Baker, Ozark, AL; sisters, Carmen Letessie McKinnon, Ozark, AL; Marquita McKinnon, Jasmine McKinnon, Kenyetta McKinnon, Kanika Shipman all of Ozark, AL; the mother of his children, Lashonda Whitt of Atlanta, GA; his best friend, Samuel Hollis and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, great aunts and uncles, relatives, and loving friends.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, February 22, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Wings of Deliverance Community Church, 8286 County Rd. 45 SE, Headland, AL. Interment was at New Hope Church Cemetery in Midland City, AL.
