Hope Sierra Rhymes
Hope Sierra Rhymes was born on July 23, 1985 in Dothan, Alabama to the Willie Fred Rhymes and the late Gloria Jean Flournoy Rhymes.
She was a graduate of Hallie Turner Private School. Hope attended Wallace Community College and later transferred to DeVry University with a degree in Biomedical. She was employed as a Communication Specialist.
Hope accepted Christ at an early age and joined Patterson Street Freewill Baptist Church. She was loving, kind, charitable and always wanted to help others while wearing a contagious smile. Hope loved her family, traveling; and she lived her life to the fullest.
Hope departed this life on Monday, September 26, 2022 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, PA. She is preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Jean Flournoy Rhymes and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Flournoy.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her father, Willie Fred Rhymes; sisters, Georgina Rhymes, Delaware, OH; Keisha Rhymes, Canton, OH and Cynthia (Abdoulaye) Prather, Columbus, OH; sister-in-love, Loraine Hairston, Ozark, AL; brothers, Sean (Brenda) Williams; Terrance (Sharon) Rhymes, Jacksonville, FL; Frederick Rhymes, South Carolina and Chris Rhymes, Canton, OH; uncle, Farrell Flournoy; aunts, Dianne Thomas, Barbara (James) Harvey, Helen Flournoy, Ruth Rhymes, and Earline Jackson; special friend, Anitra Johnson; Godmothers, Mary Hayes and Teressa McNealy; Godbrother, Montez Reynold Beechman; Goddaughter, Wanda Campbell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Patterson Street Freewill Baptist Church, 406 Patterson Ave., Dothan, AL. Interment was at Gates of Heaven, 2106 Starling Rd., Dothan, AL.
