He and my father the late Deacon Bobby Cooper were great friends that loved the Lord and began a friendship at Texifi in Rocky Mount many years ago. Bishop my heart is deeply saddened. I did not know God called you home. I know I have not been in contact, but you were always an important part of my life. You were like a dad to me when me and my children relocated to Rocky Mount. The love you showed us was unsurmountable. I remember him bringing me a Christmas gift in the cold and snow when I was about 1 or 2 years old to the family farm of his in-laws.
