Obituary For Dorothy Joyner
Dorothy Joyner, 82, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026.
Funeral service will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Calvary Baptist Church, 505 Englewood Drive, Rocky Mount, NC. 27804 with Evangelist Dr. Arie Pope, officiating and with Pastor Cathy Carter, Eulogist. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at Calvary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Joyner was such sweet lady. Her grandson was in my Day Care Home. I will never forget how nice she was to me. Every Christmas; she would give me a beautiful Christmas card with a surprise in it. I use to love talking with her. RIP MRS. JOYNER. πππππ«Άπ₯
I will always be grateful for my Aunt Anne who introduced me to books, encouraged me to read and thereby opened the world of knowledge, literature and a love for travel and cultures - she sparked an intellectual curiosity about the world for me and she pointed out how to find true north for my life. She had great expectations, an affirming love and commanded excellence in word and deed. She has had an indelible impact on my life with music and the arts and in doing so she has blessed the generations that proceeds from me. May God rest her soul.
So sorry to hear of her passing. If Roses grows in heaven Lord pick a bunch for me. Place them in Ms. Ann's arms and tell her they're from me. Condolences to the family.
