In Memory Of Those Who Are Forever Present In Our Hearts To the family my condolences. I met Rita when my Mom & Dad forced me to spend my summers in NC as a kid I hated it.(LOL) I was kid from Brooklyn who didn't want to be here. I was staying with my Auntie and I met Rita Rita all of a sudden the summer didn't seem so bad anymore. (LOL)When I went back to NY we talked all the time I couldn't wait for next summer. We became good friends over the years we laughed and talked about life. I eventually moved to NC to rise my sons (Yes we laughed about that too Mr NY moved to NC) LOL. She talk about her son all the time and her grandchildren Rita loved y'all dearly. I will miss you my friend ❤️until we meet again. 🙏🏿Rest In Power Queen Your Battle Is Over.🙏🏿

Ms Rita began managing the Lane Bryant in Rocky Mount after I had already left for Greenville. But I was blessed enough to get to know her through the LB family and of course going in to the store as a customer. She was so kind and caring! And quickly became a friend. I always had to get my hug when I saw her, she would ask about Olivia, and brag relentlessly about her grand babies ❤️ After the store closed, she saved several boxes of hangers just for me. She was like that... so thoughtful and caring. And always made me feel included even though I never worked directly under her. RIPower sweet lady. My heart will forever smile whenever I think of you 🕊️

Rita was my little girl. I did her hair and painted her nails. She grew into a fine young woman of God and I was very proud of her. I am sure she is in a better place and is praising God right now. She fought a good fight and she finished her course now she gets her crown.
