Condolences to the family, Ms. Jones as I knew her was my high school science teacher. Oh, how she loved teaching and did an excellent job at it. Very quiet but well-mannered to her students and faculty members at Elm City High School.

Ms. Jones was a wonderful person and teacher. Every child that she taught in the Wilson County Schools System especially Frederick Douglass High School was touched by her guidance, leadership, knowledge, expectations, support, concern but mostly her love for teaching them. And... making sure that they all learned. Truly, she was one of God's Angels.

Ms Jessie Jones amongst the brightest stars in minds of the McIver Class of 1959. She opened our eyes to new possibilities and opportunities. Her star has not dimmed with her transition. It shines even brighter as she hovers over her beloved class of 1959 from her perch in heaven. Her spirit will live on in the life of those of us who were privileged to have her as a teacher. This is not good bye rather we will see you later. McIver Class of 1959.

My sincere condolences to the Jones family. I met Ms.Jesse at the Senior Center when I started in the water aerobics class in 2017. She welcomed me with open arms and her sweet spirit drew me to her even more. When Covid came and shut everything down in 2021, I no longer got to see her or talk to her. I do thank the Lord for putting me in her pathway for that period and just know family she lived a long life just like it tells us in the bible. You all are in my prayers. Rest on sweet precious lady.
βMy heartfelt condolences go out to the entire family on the passing of your beloved "Aunt Jessie." Even though I never had the pleasure of meeting her, I know how much she is loved and how much she will be missed by all of you. May you find comfort in the beautiful memories you share and in the lasting legacy she created. Thinking of you all during this time of sorrow.
My dear Gwen, everyone has his or her own way and amount of time to heal from the death of a loved one. The important thing is to never forget just how much your life was and still will be impacted by the times you shared and all the moments you spent with "Aunt Jessie."
The momentary discomfort and pain have little victory over our eternal life and destiny that God has prepared for usβthe most wonderful gift ever.
May the grace and mercy of the Lord continue to give you strength and comfort in the days ahead. In a world filled with economic and political turmoil and war, I hope that you find peace and joy. And let us give thanks for our blessingsβlife, health, family, and friends.

I send my deepest sympathy to the Jones' family and friends. I will always remember the impact that Miss Jones had on me, and other students at Frederick Douglass High School. I am delighted that she was able to attend our 50th Annual Alumni Banquet where she was recognized for her exceptional service as an educator.
It is with heartfelt sympathy that I express my condolences on the passing of our beloved Soror Jesse Jones. She was the epitome of grace, wisdom, and sisterhood. At 96 years young, her presence was a blessing and her spirit truly inspiring.
I will forever treasure the moments I was able to share with her. She was so sweet, knowledgeable, and full of life lessons that reflected the true essence of Delta Sigma Theta. One of my fondest memories was introducing my daughter, Harmonie, to her. Harmonie was deeply impressed by Soror Jones' wisdom and the way she carried herself with such dignity and strength.
Her legacy of love, service, and excellence will continue to live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her. May we find comfort in knowing that she has transitioned to a place of eternal peace and joy, and that her light will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
Rest well, our dear Soror. Your red flame will forever burn bright.
Miss Jessie Jones was my math teacher at Frederick Douglass High School in Elm City from 1965-1967. She taught me Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II and she was very strict. You didn't get away with anything in her room. She taught you discipline and at the same time tried to not show you how much she loved you. My last year of high school I didn't have her as my Trigonometry teacher but I would see her everyday and she would always ask how I was doing. After graduating in 1968, I would often see her but not so much when she retired from Wilson County School System. She was very active in politics and in our sorority (Delta Sigma Theta)! She really had a life well lived!! Rest in peace, Soror!!
I will miss my. Godmother very much. She has always been there for me. She was my support system. Peace be with her.
It was my pleasure to have known and was a friend. Peace to you all. She made a difference in this life. She served.
