Mae R. Ellard, 88, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026.
Funeral service will be held 12:00pm Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Hickory View Baptist Church, 3911 Bulluck School Road, Rocky Mount, NC. 27801 with Rev. Oliver Jenkins, officiating. Interment will follow at North Eastern Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at Hickory View Baptist Church.

Mae was a supportive and active member of the local National Association of Retired Federal Employees. The chapter will remember her as the chapter's service officer and willingness to carry out assignments. She was featured in NC Federation newsletter reading Flander's Fields in observance of Veteran's Day. She will be remembered.
