Oliver Dickens Armstrong, 77, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025.
Funeral service 11:00am, Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Hunter-Odom Funeral Service, 121 S. Fairview Road, Rocky Mount, NC. 27801 with Elder Terrill Hardy, officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at Hunter-Odom Funeral Service.

My dear sweet Uncle who taught my Sister and I how to hand dance (swing) as we called it, complete with turns and all. Each time I saw him that memory came to mind. I loved him and he knew it. When my girls came along he showered them with the same type of love also. Rest Easy Uncle Dickie Byrd and give GrandMother a big hug and kiss for me? Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
