Praise God, for a life well lived! A debt of gratitude will always be owed to Mrs. Smith for her love, attention, support, and expert tutelage. Servant of God, well done. Praying much for the family.
I first met Cousin Ruth in the late 1980s at St. Mark AME Church. As a member of St. James AMEC in Kinston, I remember that meeting as a special moment in my life, because she was the one who told me we were cousins and lovingly explained how we were connected. One memory that always makes me smile is the family reunion in Beaufort, where she met my sister Mildred and playfully called her "Lester Jr." That was just her way—warm, joyful, and full of life. Cousin Ruth was truly a lovely lady, and I am grateful for the times we shared.
My heartfelt condolences to all.
I met Cousin Ruth at a family reunion a few years ago. She was lovely and fun. She knew my dad and on the spur of the moment she gave me the nick-name "Lesterine". She said it with a straight face, without flinching. I enjoyed her company so much and could tell she had an amazing wit and a heart of gold. God bless her family and loved ones. You have my deepest condolences.
