To the family: "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace". Numbers 6:24-26
We extend all consolation and prayer, comfort and love to you during this difficult time. Romans 16:1-2 introduces Phoebe, a great patriot benefactor who ministered to many while carrying the future of Christian theology under the fold of her robe. Similarly, Minister Vergie Wilson imparted her God-given, comprehensive wisdom of the Scriptures to many people in the home, in the church community and abroad. God even granted her compassion that blessed my daughter Nadine and I to share residence in her home when we had none. She never stopped giving to those in need. We thank God for being able to witness her benevolent walk in Christ.
She will be greatly missed.
Elder Mary Helen Murrell and Family

Dear Family,
My heart is broken over the loss of our beloved Vergie. To me, Vergie was not only family but also a very, very dear friend - someone whose presence brought warmth, laughter and love into my life. It's hard to imagine our family without her kind spirit and the special way she made everyone feel cared for.
As we grieve, I hope we find comfort in the memories we shared and in knowing that Vergie's love and light will always remain with us. Let's hold on to each other a little tighter and carry forward the love Vergie so freely gave.
With love and deepest sympathy,
Deanna

To sister Carrie Thompson and other family members. My condolences to you in the passing of Ms.Vergie Ruth Lindsey Wilson. I remember her beautiful smile.
There are people who enter your life for a moment, and then there are souls like Mother Vergie Lindsey Wilson people whose love, wisdom, and faith leave a mark that time can never erase.
For over 30 years, she has been so much more than a friend. She was a second mother, a grandmother, a confidant, and a woman of God whose spirit radiated grace and strength. Her words lifted me when I was weary, her prayers covered me when I couldn't find my own, and her presence brought peace into every space she entered.
She poured into my life and my daughter's life with a love that was pure, guiding, and steadfast. Her faith was unshakable, her laughter contagious, and her wisdom endless. She embodied what it means to live in purpose to serve, to nurture, and to love deeply.
Today, I honor her legacy one built on faith, compassion, and the quiet power of a woman who truly walked with God. Though her physical presence is no longer here, her spirit lives on in every heart she touched.
There will always be a space in my heart that belongs only to her a space filled with gratitude, memories, and an everlasting reminder that love never dies.
Rest well, Mother Vergie Lindsey Wilson. Your legacy of love continues through us. 🩷
Carrie, Undine, and Anthony please know that Vergie Ruth will always be one of my favorite Lindsey cousins. I so remember her coming to show "Aunt Eva" her new car, a brown Pontiac Bonneville! She inspired me when she was a librarian at my junior high and continued to do so as we looked into our ancestry. I love her and will miss her presence in my life as I know you will as well. I also know that she knew and served our Lord Jesus and now rests in His paradise as we all await His return. Vergie Ruth fought a good fight and that comforts me. You all have my deepest condolences. Vedesa (Dee)
