I first met Marjorie (really I question the spelling on this obituary) early in my career at Robins AFB where she worked as a financial analyst. I know I had met her almost 20 years ago, so her career was a long and full one there. I was searching for her while working in computer support. We had a good chuckle about me not being able to find her due to her name tag on her office reading “Dell” not Marjorie. She was never known as Marjorie to anyone in her long career at Robins. What I do know of Dell is that she had a heart of gold that sometimes got her into pickles with others who would take advantage. She would give you the clothing off her back and her last meal, which she proved time and time again throughout her life. She confided in me that she had dreamed of being a nun early in her life. She would have been a GREAT nun. Instead she chose to dedicate her life to her extended family and her unofficially adopted two boys. She lived for those boys. She cared for them through her best and worst times. I know she loved her grandbabies and she loved her family. I was saddened to hear of her health problems later in life and hope and pray that her last days were filled with family and love. She deserved that and so much more….she’ll be missed.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
