Born in Macon to the parentage of William and Mildred Stubbs Slocumb she was educated in the Bibb County School System and graduated from Ballard Hudson High School.
Survivors include: children, Melanie Williams, Yulandra (Joe) Arnold and Christopher Houston; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren other relatives and friends.
