Naomi Caines Johnson May 10, 1940 - September 23, 2021
Macon, Georgia - A Memorial Service for Mrs. Naomi Caines Johnson will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Hutchings Funeral Home.
Naomi graduated from Ballard Hudson High School and Fort Valley State College. She received a Master's degree in education from Mercer University. Naomi taught at several schools throughout her 30-year career and was one of the founders of the Pleasant Hill Community Garden.
Naomi is survived by: a devoted partner, Peter Givens; her daughter, Chanda Rae; her son, Vernon Collins; three grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; a daughter-in-law, Joanne Snowden; one brother, John Mains; several nieces and nephews; beloved cousin, Rosalind Houser; and countless others whose lives she touched.
