Born to the parentage of the late Lester Lee and Anna Pearl Bass, Russell attended Bibb County Public School graduating from Southwest High School. He worked at The Macon Telegraph and with Adult Productive Services as a case worker. Survivors include: sisters; Cassandra (Calvin) Walker and Brenda Nelson; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
