Mr. James William Robinson, Jr. ‘Jimmy’ A Celebration of Life for Mr. James William Robinson Jr. will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with public visitation beginning at 12:00 noon. Services will be conducted in the main chapel of Integrity Funeral Services, located at 3822 E. 7th Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33605, with Rev. A. D. Sampson, officiating. Military Honors will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. JAMES WILLIAM ROBINSON JR. – “Jimmy”, received his heavenly wings on May 7, 2021. He was born June 26, 1957, in Belton, South Carolina, the son of James William Robinson Sr. and Evelyn Ruth (Delph) Robinson. James graduated from Hillsborough High School, Class of 1975. Following graduation, he enlisted and served in the United States Air Force from 1976 – 1984. James received an “Honorable Discharge” before going on to pursue other goals. James married and had a daughter, Lisa M. Robinson, that precedes him in his passing. He went on to re-marry Yvonne Grant-Robinson and raise three sons. Although life led them to different paths, James and Yvonne remained close friends until his passing. James was a self-taught scholar in numerous topics, including holistic herbs and medicine, African American Culture, and homeopathic healing methods. He was a dedicated versatile worker. James’s work included Corrections Officer (Florida Department of Corrections), Customer Service, Medicaid Insurance Sales, Managed Care and recently Patient Greeter with Veteran’s Administration where he remained employed through the early months of 2021. In addition to his parents and daughter, James was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Robinson, nephews, Anthony Robinson and John Coy III. To cherish his memories, James leaves behind his sons, Chane’ Atuanya Robinson, Rashaun Adari Grant, Basmajian VuaiLamar Grant, their mother Yvonne Grant-Robinson; Sisters, Brenda Faye Robinson and Sharon Robinson; Nieces, Glynis Coy, Tiffany Bland, and Tierra (Pierre) Momplaisir; Nephews, Cory (Burnay) Robinson, Vincent (Ivy) Johnson, Rashaad Robinson, Floyd Manigo and Antonio Manigo; as well as a host of cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and friends.
