Mr. Johnny Lee Gay Jr.

In loving memory of Mr. Johnny Lee Gay Jr. a public viewing will be held 3-6 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Integrity Funeral Services, 3822 E. 7th Avenue, Tampa 33605.

Johnny Lee Gay Jr. “Curly” was born on August 8, 1952 in Orlando, Fl, but resided here in Tampa, Fl. Throughout his life, Johnny (Curly) was Our music soul brother, to a family of 9. In his early years, he worked several jobs; as a painter, ice truck driver, working in the orange and apple groves. He also spent years doing janitorial work for several clubs on the Ybor City 7th Avenue stretch. Johnny loved music, dancing all the time, yard parties, and family enjoyment.

He is reunited in death with his mother, Bennie Hines; father, Johnny Gay Sr.; and his daughter, Rashida Gay; brothers, Edwin, David, and Jerry Gay.

He leaves behind two dear friends Linda( Meatball) and Fred Timmons; Three sons, Johnny Gay III, Eric Gay, and Aaron Nelson; Two brothers, Terry Gay and Marvin Gay; Five sisters, Vivian Thompson, Marva Gay, Teresa Ingeam (Kenny), Ellen Hines ( George), and Denise’ae Hines. He will be dearly missed by his Auntie, Uncle, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at 3417 N. 29th St. Apt. A and B., Tampa 33605. Six - Until. “Keep Curly Litt”
