Obituary For Marquise Carwise

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Marquise Carwise, who departed this life on August 3, 2026, at the age of 44.
Marquise was born on July 31, 1982, to Belinda and Earnest Bennett. He was a cherished son, father, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and friend whose presence brought meaning, laughter, love, and memories that will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we choose to remember Marquise not only for the sorrow of his absence, but for the life he lived and the love he gave. His memory will continue through the people he loved and the lives he touched.
Marquise leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children, Octavia Lakise and Marquise Carwise Jr.; his brothers, Ernest and his wife, Alisha Carwise, and Tavaris Bennett; his sisters, Symia Carwise and Cheetare Bennett; his grandparents, Lula and Eddie Canty; his aunts, Tonia and her husband, Kenneth Goss, and Rosalyn and Daniel Green; his uncles, Sherrald McCauley, Ulysses Carwise and King House Jr.
He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, Daysha, Lawren, Nai‘Aja, and Johnae, and his nephews, Walter, Kyjuan, Tavaris Jr., John, Zyquieryous, Jamark, Naijae Jr., Rameses, Justus, and Jesson, and a host of extended family members, and loved ones.
Marquise was preceded in death by his father, Earnest Thomas, and his aunt, Cassandra McCauley.
Although we cannot understand why his journey had to end so soon, we can be grateful for every moment, every memory, every conversation, every smile, and every piece of love that Marquise left behind.
His physical presence may be gone, but his memory will never be forgotten. He will continue to live in the stories we tell, the memories we share, and most importantly, in the hearts of those who loved him.
Rest peacefully, Marquise. Your life mattered. Your presence was meaningful. Your memory is everlasting. Until we meet again, may you rest in eternal peace.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.

The Celebration of Life service for Marquise will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Services, 3822 E. 7th Avenue, Tampa with Reverend James Richardson, officiating with visitation on Friday, August 28, 2026, 6-8 p.m.
