The Homegoing Service of Sister Ola B. Lott-Mitchell will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at New St. Matthew M.B. Church, 1006 S. 50th Street, Tampa, Fl 33619 with Rev. Alec Hall, Pastor. Interment will commence at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following the homegoing service. Ola B. Lott-Mitchell of Tampa passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at the age of 79. Ola was born on November 8, 1942, in River Falls, Alabama to the late Emmett W. and Lena B. Sims-Carter. She was an active member of New St. Matthew M.B Church where she served with many different ministries throughout the years, including that of Deaconess. She was a fierce believer, devoted mother, grandmother, and wife. As a community activist, she proudly served as President of the neighborhood association for the Green Ridge and Delaney Creek area residents. Ola was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Reuben Mitchell; loving siblings Sam Carter, Evelyn Larry, James Carter, Berniece Carter, Nancy Brown, and Thelma Rivers; and her daughter Alexis Honea. She leaves many to cherish her loving memory: (Sons) Johnnie Jackson, Jr., Xavier Gulatte (TaSheera), John Honea (Celina), Domerell Lott, and Gene Lott; (Daughters) Angela Williams, Theresa Webb (Keith) and Janice M. Carr (Fidell); (Grandsons) Lenny Williams, Johnnie Jackson III (Gale), Hugh Green, Jr. (Aurora), and Joshua Ramsay; (Granddaughters) Aramis Wilds (Garnell), Essence Williams, Danielle Green-Watson (Dowoni), and Briana Brown; (Sister) Francis Tyson; (Goddaughter) Shelia Walker (Bernard) and her mother Hazel Brown, her New St. Matthew Church Family and a host of loving family and friends including 16 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held Friday, July 15, 2022, 6-8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6-7 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Services, 3822 E. 7th Avenue, Tampa.
