Charlie “Blade” Mitchell age 71 of Athens, GA passed February 9, 2025.
A Celebration of Life will be held, Monday, February 17, 2025, at 12:00 PM, at Bethel Baptist Church with interment in the Watkinsville City Cemetery.
Viewing, Sunday, 2-6 PM at the funeral home.
Survivors include: his devoted wife, Wennell Mitchell; three sons and one daughter,
Derrick Smith, Fredrick Thrasher, Cedrick Mitchell and Tiffany Mitchell; bonus children
Ellis Bernard Ballard, Jr., Trevor Johnson and Tonya Ballard; sisters, Rosa Lee (Stan) Blackwell and Amy (Dennis) Collins:
fourteen grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
