At 62yrs old I still remember this beautiful lady like yesterday. She was my pre- school teacher. She was so pretty meek and mild. One of the nicest lady I've ever known. I know we all must past and you practiced be being the Angel I know you are in heaven. Rest easy dear lady.
My mom called and told me about Mrs. Cordelia. I'm sorry about your lost to the family. I also remember her from when I was a kid in day care. She was a wonderful person back then. Bernard Huff
Dear, Dear Cordelia, as time goes by I understand more and more why Daddy didn't like going home to Athens. Memories of all the Happy Days come back, only to be pushed aside with the very sad realization that another loved one, another FAMILY member's Sunset has come. It hurts so bad to know you won't be with us again, physically, on this earth. But it gives me joy to know that you have joined the ANCESTORS, both the Barnetts and the Allens - especially "Bobby," baby Sylvia and her big brother Anthony. May you all rest in PEACE in the bosom of Abraham. LOVE you "Always." Judith (Judi) Allen Ingram
My mother, Hortense Edwards Shelton, was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Mrs. Allen. They were friends and communicated often. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and the Barnett and Allen family. Wanda Shelton Cox Hortense E. Shelton
This was a precious woman who allowed us into her precious, sweet life. Never saw her meet a stranger and the love within her could be seen from a mile away. We miss you Madam Allen and your presence and spirit have left indelible memories in all of us. May the peace of God surround you for eternity. Clarke & Cynthia McKeever
The bond shared by an aunt and niece is very special as she was that special person to me. Cordelia was my confidant, best friend, and guided me through some tuff times in life ~ she was always there whenever I needed her. She was a fantastic listener. Losing her is beyond heart breaking the grief and pain is one that is indescribable. I will miss her and so thankful for the picture she sent me last month of her. It warms my heart seeing it in my home to remind me of the joyful times we had together.
Please accept my deepest sympathies to you Michael and our family members. Cordelia was so special to us all and I know our memories of her will bring some peace.

While growing up on Timothy Court in Athens, Cordelia was the best neighbor anyone could have hoped for. She was soft-spoken, gracious and loving. Her earthly presence will be missed but she is now whole and free in the presence of the Lord for to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Pastor Sarah Hector Johnson, Lansing, Michigan
