Obituary For Deacon Marion Bush, Sr.
Mr. Marion Bush, Sr., age 91, of Athens, GA passed April 30, 2023.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at St. James Baptist Church, 3685 Jefferson Rd, Athens, GA, with interment in East Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 1-6 pm at the funeral home.
Survivors include: his wife, Willie E. Bush; seven children, Shawmayne Palmer, Anastasia (Randolph) Robinson, Barbara Bush, Marion (Demetrica) Bush, Jr., Joan Marie (Thomas Dean) Bonds-Broadney, Lamont Coleman and Carl (Robyn) Bush; and a host of grandchildren.

Deacon Bush always wanted to hear me tell a joke or a story or something. Every time he saw me he would say what you got for me. We were at the St. James Cemetery together on MLK, Jr. Day, the first year the clean up started and he shared a lot of history with me. Rest in Heaven, Deacon Bush. Minister Johnnie Edwards
