I met Frankie in 1976. He was very instrumental in getting me started in my 43 year career, beginning at Clarke County Police Department. Frankie would drink coffee with my dad and he also would go by and check on my mom. Just a month ago he ask about my her. They felt like he was their son. I was saddened by his passing. Frankie Lane was a great man, he was a great friend and an excellent officer. It was a privilege to know him and share in just a moment of his life with him.
