...just wanted to share some photos of Uncle Joe during two other family reunion trips. In the first photo he is standing with my friend Agnes at the top of the Empire State Building in New York; the other one was in Raleigh, NC. Uncle Joe and his two sisters, Shirley and Brenda. He enjoyed his life and we traveled to several states for our family reunion and always had a blast! (Texas, California, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Vegas and of course Georgia (home). I miss those times with Uncle Joe with his extraordinary sense of humor.
I was honored to care for Mr. Cox a few months back as I am a nurse at Piedmont Athens Regional on the oncology unit. Mr. Cox was a quiet spirit and a precious soul. His demeanor was that of a great man. I was honored to meet his children as well as they rallied around him day and night... a beautiful thing to see. He left a huge legacy through his children. I'm devastated that Mr. Cox has departed this world, but thankful that he is in pain no longer. Praying for this whole family! β€οΈ McKayla Black, RN Piedmont Athens Oncology

Rest In Paradise grandpa Joe,With Much Love.
Uncle Joe will be sorely missed by soooo many ppl; he was such a great person to be around. I posted a throw back photo of when we were at one of many family reunions. We were in Washington, DC on this particular occasion; after all the scheduled family reunion shenanigans on Saturday night, the after party was in Uncle Joe's room affectionately called "THE JOE SHOW." I always got there early to get a seat. As you can see, he has already taken the floor and we were already engaged into the junk he was obviously talking! I love you Uncle Joe. My prayer is that the family and all who loved you can find comfort in knowing that you are now resting in God's bosom and your memory will be a blessing.
sympathy goes out to the family of Joe Cox and a well done job to his children who was beside him every step of the way may God continue to give you all strength during this difficult timeππΏππΏππΏ
