Mamie “Julia” Stephens, age 84, of Athens, GA, passed October 20, 2025.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, October 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Greater Bethel AME Church, 140 Rose Street, Athens, GA 30606. Following the service, the interment will take place at East Memorial Cemetery. A Public Viewing is planned for Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Jackson-McwhorterFuneral Home.
Mamie “Julia” Stephens is survived by her two sons, McAllister Stephens and Timothy Stephens, a granddaughter, Makenzie; grandsons, Alexander Nelson, Brandon Marshall and Kamryn; one great granddaughter, Lainey Nelson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
