Obituary For Shirley Roach Walker
Shirley Roach Walker, age 78 of Athens, GA passed July 13, 2024.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 20, 2024 at New Grove Baptist Church, 1228 Moores Grove Road, Winterville, GA with interment in East Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Athens, GA.
Viewing, Friday 4-6 PM, at the funeral home.
Survivors include: one loving daughter, Tonya (Isiah) Ricks; stepsons, Michael (Cynthia) Walker, Elliot (Tracy) Walker and Marvin Walker; a daughter in law, Kiva Walker; five granddaughters, India, Sydney, Imari, Karen and Ava; siblings, Robert Lee Roach, Kenny Roach, Carrie Fox, Ernestine Walker and Elaine McLaurin; and a host of nieces, nephews and devoted family and friends.

Carrie and your brothers and sisters whom I havehknown since our early years having grown up on Arch Street are like family. When you hurt, we hurt. My prayers and constant thoughts are a part of my day since bearing of your loss. Hold your bead high and walk in the knowledge that Our Father in Heaven rolled out the welcome mat when the trumpet sounded and the roll was called and she was welcomed to her new home. Remember, she is not gone but has a new address where you will see her again when you answer the role call. May the Spirit of Our Saviour abide in each of you always.
