Survivors include: mother, Montine Brightwell; daughters, Sada (Germaias) Armstrong and Kindrea Brightwell; son, Jamel Carruth; grandchildren, Kahlen Johnson, Mia Brightwell, Khiza Armstrong and Ayah Armstrong; sister, Kizzy "Tay" Brightwell; brother, Terry Smith; aunts, Lynette Smith, Deborah Smith, Carolyn (Kandy) Hemphill, Sally Smith, Mary Brightwell, Khadia "Pat" Brightwell, Loretta Brightwell and Mr. & Mrs. Curtis Brightwell; uncles, Tommy Smith and Kevin Smith; best friend, Robert Winters; and a host of other relatives and friends.
