Aunt Bay. You were n are my favorite of all the aunties. You are an original n You called things like you saw it, even past mistakes n challenges you went through you shared them so that we could learn from it. What I loved most was your sense of humor and your faith in God (Jah/Jehovah) n you were not afraid to say his name. I loved you for your own original style n outlook on life! You never hesitated to take time to talk to your nieces n nephews. Our brother Jerry n Anita n Renée loved you so much as well. I recall all the trips we made to NY n staying at your home in the Bronx and in Long Island when we came for our conventions. They were fun times! I remember your trips to Baltimore to visit us when you would come with Jerry. I'm so glad that you got to see 100 years of life! Aunt Bay you will be greatly missed!! Rest peacefully in God's memory my dear Aunt Bay!! ❤️
What an honor it is...to have lived. I'm so thankful to have had the time spent, the conversations had and a host of stories made for movies. Aunt Bey (Ethel) personified a bright and beaming light and energy unmatched. My prayers are with her children, grands and great-grands; along with a hosts nieces and nephews. May we all be covered with God's grace and mercies.
Prayers and Comfort for Strength. May the Dear Lord continue to strengthen you in HIS Loving Care. There's a lot can be said about Aunt Ethel, however she lived to reach an age that only GOD allowed her to see and we're able to share it with her Family and Families!!! Thank God for allowing her to do it!!! She had an authenticity with her style and that says it All!!! She and Mama (her sister) could style them HATS!!!! Gone but those memories linger closely to my Heart (Mind)!!! Stay close to each other and to HIM!! JESUS CHRIST! 🙏💟. Love you more. Family.
My dear Aunt, we will never forget you. You brought much joy and laughter to us and I really miss those long phone conversations and thoughts we shared. Some of us called you Aunt Bay instead of Aunt Ethel but you loved that nickname that your older brother gave to you and I will miss saying that but you will live on in our hearts and memories. Sending prayers and love to the rest of the family as well. -- Renée Gillis (Carter)
