Janira Jasmine Walker was born on March 18, 1988 in Newark, New Jersey, to Jeffery Mark Walker and the late Julie Anita Walker. From a very young age, Janira was baptized and began her life journey. She was educated through Newark Public Schools.

Janira was a proud mother of her two daughters, Jamiyaha Anita Walker and Ellie Johnson, who were among the greatest joys of her life. Janira was a beautiful, creative, and talented woman who had a passion for hair and makeup. She also had a love for modeling and enjoyed traveling to New York City for modeling opportunities. She had a creative spirit and personality that allowed her to express herself through beauty, fashion, and her own unique style.

Janira will be remembered for the love she shared with family and friends, the memories she created, and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew her. Though her life was for too short, the memories of her laughter, love, beauty, and spirit will remain with her loved ones forever.

Janira was preceded in death by her Mother, Julie Anita Walker; her Sister, Destiny Walker; two Grandmothers, Dolores A. Walker and Irene Ward; two Grandfathers, David C. Walker and Roscoe Ward; three Uncles, Donald, Horace and Keith; and three Great Aunts, Margaret, Jeanette and Louise.

Janira leaves to cherish her memory, her Daughters, Jamiyaha A. Walker and Ellie Johnson; her Father, Jeffrey M. Walker; three Brothers, Abdul, Jeffrey Jr., and Chrishod; four Sisters, Chekasha, Nedra, Afendi and Charlene; her Uncle Troy Walker; her Aunts, Yvonne/ Anthony Lacy, Jennifer/Reginald Jones, Sandra/Lorenzon Sheppard, Sheila and Asianna; one Great Uncle Harvey; two Great Aunts, Jean and Candy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members and friends.
