Myrtle Batemone,88, died Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Clara Maass Hospital in Belleville, NJ. She was born in Rocky Mount, NC, and resided in Newark until 1979. She later moved to East Orange, where she resided until the time of her death.

Myrtle formerly worked at Remco and Aratek. She was predeceased by her husband Wallace Batemon , a son Deshuan Batemon, and a sister Marion Bryant.

She is survived by 3 sons Twain Batemon, Selby Batemon, and Jermain Batemon, all of East Orange, NJ, 2 daughters Sharon Batemon of Kearny, NJ, and Hallie Batemon of East Orange, NJ, 2 brothers Larry Graham of Charlotte NC, and Harold Forester of Detroit, MI, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great- grandchildren.
