We will always love and remember Mrs Young, Paul and Johnetta Lee
Dear Young Family, Praying that remembrances of sweet loving grandmother bring a smile to your face before they bring a tear to your eye. May grandmother rest in peace in the loving arms of Jesus our Lord and Savior.
Rosemary, Jerome and Family Our sincere condolences in the passing of Mrs. Young. May she be remembered for the love she had for family and her community. A woman of beautiful character!
Prayerfully, Leon and Renee Austin Harris
Greetings to the Young Families, Sending my love and many fond memories of Mrs Elizabeth. She and my mother (Wilhelmina Fisher) were neighbors for over 50 years who spoke daily by phone prior to her passing in 2024. My last conversation with mother she asked "what's going on now" She always showed compassion and concern about the neighborhood. She was a great Community Advocate!
Love always, Darcel Fisher Harris and Family

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved ALCAM Legend 2024, Mary Elizabeth Young. A true matriarch and pillar of strength, her 103 years on this earth were marked by grace, wisdom, and unwavering faith.
From her humble beginnings in Ridge Spring, South Carolina, to her impactful years as an educator in Jacksonville, Florida, Mrs. Young lived a life of purpose and love. Her daily affirmation, "I love me, I respect me, I am happy to be me," uplifted generations of students and reminded us all of the power of self-worth.
A witness to history and a force within it, she stood tall through every challenge—from the Great Depression to the Civil Rights Movement—carrying herself with dignity and perseverance. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who were touched by her remarkable story.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Young family and all who cherished her. May her memory forever be a blessing, and may we carry her spirit forward with the same strength and kindness she gave so freely.
Rest in eternal peace, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Young. "God is too good to be unkind and too wise to make a mistake."
My deepest sympathy to the family and the Central Baptist Church family.
My Prayers and Condolences are with the entire Young Family during this hour.
To Rosemary, Jerome, and the entire Young Family,
We were very sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. Please accept our deepest sympathies for what we know is a difficult time for the family. Words are poor things when we suffer the loss of a loved one. Still, we want to convey our corporate desire, however inadequate, to offer our consolation. Matthew W. Gilbert High School - Class of 1962
To Rosemary Johnson and the entire young family. May you all have my deepest sympathy. Linda Smith and Family.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
